I just wrote about this last week.
Do not just stop texting. That’s so rude. It’s just thoughtless and cowardly. Being honest is the most courteous thing you can do, but if that’s too tall a task, then just keep saying you’re busy until they get the hint. But really? Just say something to let them know it’s over.
You know how lousy it is to be slow-faded and not be sure. Even if you have to lie, “I thought I was ready to get back out there, but things are still complicated with my ex. I’m not ready.”
But never, ever just stop texting. Karma doesn’t forget that kind of bullshit.
