I would have… reacted… but let me give you a mental picture of how it was delivered.
Okay, imagine sitting with your grandmother… not a hip grandma, but a real “do you like that In-The-Sink band?” grandma. (Real thing my grandma said. Say it out loud, quickly.) Now imagine her saying in her shaky grandma voice, “did you hear about the Cleveland Steamer? I heard some kids laughing about it and I thought it would be so nice to be on a Cleveland Steamer again! Take a nice warm trip down the river together!”
And you’re all, “do I correct her? Is it… wrong? I mean, she’ll never know, right?”
That’s what this hygienist was like. He was young enough that he just had to know what he sounded like, but his delivery was so… innocent.
Either way, these teeth are CLEAN, even if he isn’t.
