Quick story about the blog. My mom was all, “you’re never going to get married if you keep rejecting people!” I obviously responded like every good daughter would.
I wasn’t rejecting people! Come on! I just wasn’t meeting anyone. Then I thought about who I was dating.
So I started the blog to keep better tabs on them… and myself.
Things were great! I was drinking a lot, dating losers, and working a mediocre job I didn’t care about.
Then! I got a magical phone call from a far away land called “New York” and I was whisked away to Never Never Land! (Never Neverland? Neverland? Never-Never Land? Whatever.)
Hoorah! There was a lot of squeeing and giggling at first.
Then like any good New Yorker, I started to think I was hip.
I don’t smoke, but you get the idea. Living in New York was amazing. Sometimes it was weird.
But overall, it was incredible. It was also lonely.
Something was missing in my life. I went on a trip to LA and realized what was missing was sunshine. So I moved out West. And got sort of into it.
So now I’m a novice road biker, avid hiker, and still rocking my 5-inch heels in a small town. You can take the girl out of New York…
How it started: I number the guys that make a legitimate move on me. The smaller the number, the longer they’ve been around. Some of them only got my phone number. Some of them, I actually dated. I started this blog in February 2010, and we’re on #81.
