What a weekend so far.
I’m already turned into bed on this chilly Sunday after a wild Saturday night and wonderful day with Wife today.
Yesterday, I went out to Midwood, Brooklyn (near Coney Island) for a Georgian extravaganza called Supra at Tblisi Restaurant. It’s an important mission to some friends of mine to spread Georgian culture, so spread it we did! Thirty of us feasted on traditional Georgian cuisine and drinks, including that bright green tarragon sparkling water. Bizarre and tasty.
Next stop in Manhattan was Westway with 37. After wearing a turtleneck and a sweater to Supra, I stripped down to my undershirt for the dance club. When in Rome?
3 am took me to a dive bar in the East Village to meet Erin and Emily. Some ski ball, a little pool, and a few more beers, and we were off to late night at the apartment.
Today, Wife took me to a birthday dinner at the lovely Cafe Gitane. Paw print mocha and a tower of cous cous (as well as a myriad of attractive patrons) made for a lovely evening.
To cap it off, I used a giftcard from Christmas to get some footwear for tackling the city. Pair those with skinny jeans and a chunky sweater and you’re set.
Later this week: how to ace an OkCupid date, how to irritate a girl so much she cancels, and how to ensure you won’t get a second… otherwise known as my week in review.
Until then, rest easy.
